Avoid. Joe DeGeorge and Cornerstone Flooring & Remodeling did not install my LVT floors according to the manufacturers installation instructions. The issues I experienced are compounded by severely lackluster communication and many missed appointments. In the rare instances the subcontractors Joe DeGeorge hired showed up on time (if they showed up at all), they did not follow the installation instructions of the product he recommended and sold and was notified that certain spots on the floor are buckling or peeling up. The people he hired for the job did not mix boxes of tiles as the manufacturer recommends therefore many duplicate boards are laid next to eachother. The recommended placement guidelines were also not followed. The quarter round installation and caulking was amateur. The subcontractors did not clean all of the glue on the floors from installation. Joe DeGeorge agreed to come do a walkthrough to see the issues but never came. Joe DeGeorge with Cornerstone Flooring and Remodeling demonstrated major difficulty proactively contacting me with updates or expectations and has not yet resolved the issues I brought to his attention. I do not recommend using Joe DeGeorge or Cornerstone Flooring and Remodeling. The project was originally completed on 3/29, Joe DeGeorge was made aware of some issues on 5/3 then sent a detailed list of issues on 5/11 and as of today the issues are still unresolved. Joe DeGeorge was sent a demand letter for a refund so I could have someone else come fix his poor workmanship and he never replied.

Ok, there was a small leak in the seat of the shower that Susan brought to my attention. The funny thing is even thought she called me and requested I come over ASAP to inspect, when I arrived I asked her why it was wet in there and she replied she just got out of the shower. So why do you shower in there when you have another shower in your house knowing this one has a leak and then saying I hope there isn't going to be a mold issue. Puzzling, I offered to repair at no cost to her and brought in a certified mold remediation company at my expense. The pebbles leaked on the seat area, it was a simple repair that she wanted to get done by her guy she said, where was he when she needed shower done ASAP. As far as money goes, it's a construction process, trades need to be paid as work progresses. Also prior to and during the job process this customer would text me at 3:00 am about how she thinks she found the light fixture that would look good in there. Really at 3:00 am , sorry for the long rebuttal but why would a customer not let the contractor repair the leak and have the certified mold company inspection done. Contractor beware .... Some People are unhappy no matter what the situation is !! Oh and if you know your shower has a small leak why do you continue to shower in there. Could be she had Cocoa Puffs for breakfast

His work is pretty. However, we have had our shower leak twice that he has come back for. He is always making excuses. He says he will fix it but now we have mold. He called in someone but they are just cleaning the air I believe. I am calling my own person, at my own expense and he seems upset. He does his business on a shoestring budget. We have asked for insurance but he always forgets. Look up his business in the state registry. Seems like a great guy but I would not go through this mess again for anything. I could not find anything on him when I hired him and I hope this helps others. A friend of a friend. Never again. Please use a licensed, insured contractor and get the information before they start. Also, they should not be coming to you for money until the job is done, if they are reputable. I have a feeling this is going to cost me alot and he is throwing up what he has to do to fix it. He made this mess. Just be aware.
