Very Detailed and Honest Review! This recommendation starts in the summer. I was looking for an affordable catering service for my small wedding. The husband of Amber suggested that we check his wife out via a Wedding Page. In the beginning we were incredibly excited to be working with Amber. She messaged us to let us know what her menu was and what she could offer us. She also threw in some really awesome deals which made us feel like we were making the right decision. Two weeks before the wedding, our reception was cancelled due to COVID restrictions on our venue. I asked Amber about her refund process and she referred me to the contract which states that there are no refunds. She didn’t give us any options except that the best she could do was bring us the food. She also told us that at two weeks out she had already purchased all of the food and supplies with our money. Strange....but we accepted her response because we realized that she was not gonna give us our money back. We were upset but we also understood that no one was to blame for these new guidelines. We decided to have her send the food to our home on the wedding day and we would make plates for our family to take home. Day of the wedding. I get a message from Amber saying that she will be 22 minutes late. I cannot express how strict tour wedding schedule was. Due to Covid we had to plan Our Wedding around our venue and our caterer. With her coming late.... people were waiting outside of our home and we served the food much later than we had hoped. When Amber brought the food she forgot to bring the dressings and the drinks. BOTH of which we paid for according to the contract. She went to the store and purchased dressing but instead of bringing it in the house...she passed the dressing to a guest. YES a Guest. I thought this was weird so I walked outside to ask her about drinks since my guests were waiting in the heat due to HER being late. When I went outside she was nowhere to be found. Dropped off the dressing and drove off. Yikes! I emailed her, asking “what is going on” and “we need the drinks. We paid for drinks and we have none” . She responds saying that we were rude to her. This may have been because of an interaction with one of the guests or from the tone of my email...I am still unclear. I let her know that that wasn’t my intention I just need either a refund for my drinks or I need my drinks. She responded saying that drinks couldn’t be served due to Safety precautions ....huh??? She also reminded me that we were no allowed refunds. She ALSO added in the fact that we were getting some discounts and that she didn’t charge us for labor. We did not ask for a discount. We did not ask for a deal. We supported her because we thought, from our initial interaction, that her business was integral. And we were sadly mistaken. I decided to stop pressing the issue once she suggested tht I was taking my anger out on her because things weren’t going the way that I want them too. Y’all...this was on my wedding day. The day that I have planned for months.y heart was broken...as my guests complained about the dry chicken, and strange tasting Mac and cheese. We paid a good price and honestly we got what we paid for. She denies any blame. She won’t give us money back. We never got our drinks. It was a sad ending to a beautiful Day. Do not use this caterer for any special occasions. To Amber: We forgive you for your poor service. Our prayer is that you take this as feedback not hate speech or slander. I am very disappointed to have to write this. But, you know how it all went down.
