I brought my boat to Jerry's to get an outdrive fixed, a tune-up, a radio installed, new tires on trailer, and a handful of minor things to be fixed and/or replaced. I received an estimate of $7100.00 which I thought was excessive so I told him to remove the trailer tires from the estimate which totalled $1300.00 bringing the estimate to $5800.00. While many of the charges appeared to be excessive I gave the ok. He called me during the tune-up and he said the boat needed 2 fuel injectors and circuit breakers and he gave me a price for the parts which I ok'd. When I picked up the boat several days later my bill was now $8975.00 When I asked for an explanation Jerry said it is what it is with no explanation other than 5 hrs. to install a radio ($675), oil waste removal ($260) additional parts ($957.88) all of which were way over the norm and no explanation for an additional 16 hrs. ($2217.12)Believe it or not this is just the tip of the iceberg of the nightmare of my dealings with Jerry.I learned a very tough lesson. Be forewarned!
