Based in Houston and Dallas, our translation agency provides retail and wholesale translation services to law firms, advertising agencies, safety training consultants, engineering contractors, human resource managers, finance companies, manufacturers, universities, government agencies and more. Our talented team of Spanish translators include lawyers, engineers, business managers, financial specialists and marketers who translate specialized subject matter with precision and professionalism. In addition to employing subject matter experts, we thoroughly test and screen our translators, requiring the following: • A Certificate/Degree in translation earned from an accredited academic training program • Certification/Accreditation by a recognized translation organization, like ATA or ITI • Several years of experience working in a specialized field • Native fluency in the target language and an excellent understanding of the source text language. Because most of our translators have been with us for more than 5 years, we have developed strong mutual relationships with one another that are built on trust and professionalism. This carries over into the relationships and commitments that we establish with our clients. The history of 24 Hour Translation dates back nearly 20 years when Sarah Detlef returned to the United States after having assisted in establishing the translation services center at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. Prior to this, Sarah had served in the U.S. Air Force and had acquired an undergraduate degree in economics, French and German and graduate degrees in administration and education. In addition to leading 24 Hour Translation, she continues to teach Spanish, French and German for the U.S. Department of Defense and has some fluency in Russian and Chinese.
