Its hard to know where to begin. We hired Venzo group last year to handle building our e-commerce website and launch us into the online market place.100% of our business consists of product sales. I'll preface this review with everyone at Venzo is nice... Nice does not = effective or valuable...Our two star review is based on a few key things - first and foremost a lack of communication and understanding. We hired Venzo to build us a custom e-commerce site and we were charged thousands to have this done. Several months into development it became apparent - to his own admission- that William misunderstood the intent of our website, unfortunately at our expense. This misunderstanding set us back more time and money. Not only did it set us back but this misunderstanding led to a site built without effective intention - meaning little to no guidance on products placement, funnels, preplanned strategies for future sales approaches etc.Basically built us a "pretty site". Venzo chose a very slow server/hosting service for our site, which caused it to load incredibly slow in relation to most e-commerce sites affecting the user experience. This also apparently mattered when uploading product photos to our page- as. they were only able to be uploaded in low and poor quality resolution- per William. When we brought this up to William we were met with the good ol "everything is fine" - "your site is fine" type of response. We watch our analytics every day and noticed our bounce rate was extremely high (70-80%), our users were not prompted to buy anything until the 7th or 8th action on the page which is terrible. When this was brought up to William he suggested we wait more time, for more data... at our time and expense. We now understand this was a poor choice in direction for us. Its like sitting in a poopie diaper longer than necessary. Another thing we only found out after the fact is we were charged custom webpage prices for a themed build out that is packed full of "bloat ware code"- this Bloatware code slows down the website, making the user experience annoying, as well as making your website less desirable to google. You expect an expert charging you thousands to steer you in the right direction. Also our actual store was optimized very poorly, there were several unnecessary steps to be taken to add products to the cart, to check out, etc.. We were receiving unsatisfactory comments from our clients. For us we thought we had hired an expert, as he was recommended to us as such, we trusted his guidance, when these issues were brought up to William his response was " I thought you were the expert". And that's not what you hire marketing and development companies to do or say...... You don't want them just taking your money and telling you all is good, or that you should be the expert, you want them to really be your online growth advocate. Thats most of it regarding the website, We are leaving some petty complaints off this review intentionally, as we think this is what's important for potential costumers to see. We also paid $1000 to literally have William help us create our labels. We already had the design, logos, and label information, all he had to do was copy and paste and size it for us. We were charged $1000 for this. There was nothing creative done on his part, he didn't proof any of the labels, We paid him $1000 and ended up needing someone else to finish them again at our expense. Horrible experience, yet out of loyalty we stuck it out. If you're looking for a pretty site, or are a local small company Venzo would probably be awesome for you. If your looking to build Ecommerce and work with a company who will help strategize and implement effective principles that can work for your company this one may be a little young in their journey.
