I wanted to write this review to inform anyone thinking of hiring CAL Construction for a residential home building project. We hired CALL Construction in August of 2023 the building was officially given occupancy in June of 2024. Before you hire CAL Construction, please read the below. Top reasons to consider other alternatives: Poor Craftsmanship and quality Poor Communication Poor Management and Scheduling Our building with CAL Construction was absolutely an exhausting, stressful, costly, and disappointing experience. Our warranty is now expired. We still have major issues that we were promised to be fixed and were not and now we will have to hire contractors to fix them. I have everything documented with photos and emails with time stamps. Attached photos are examples of the major areas. Exposed roof areas and facia Garage Leaking due to incorrectly poured concrete Improperly installed garage door Improperly installed dryer vent. At first it was missing, then when we moved in, we realized it was hooked on the guest bath fan venting into the bathroom. When we notified CAL Construction a non-licensed individual came and ran a flex hose outside of the house. HVAC licensed contractor stated it should be metal duct so that it can be maintained and cleaned Improperly fastened metal siding and roofing All of this will now need to be fixed, and we will have to pay for it. If you still decide to hire CAL Construction ensure your contract is reviewed by a construction lawyer, ensure that every detail is documented down the screw color and nail size. Do not allow your bank to approve payments without your approval and hire experts in the residential building sector to ensure you are getting a properly built quality home.
