The owner's wife totally went off on me in a very aggressive and unprofessional manner that was completely unwarranted when she heard that I was unhappy with the grooming. I had left detailed written grooming instructions. I expressed that I was unhappy with my dogs cut because it looked kind of like a puppy cut , his feathering cut off and his tail wasn't cut..They said my instructions didn't include length for body,which is true, but I said I didn't understand why they didn't call or text to ask. Instead they cut him down all over. I just said I was upset , the cut is too short and I don't understand why they didn't call or text to ask. She said my complaint was insulting and they will never groom my animals again. During her tirade it seems they have been bad mouthing me and my dog to another groomer in the community when in contrast I had only ever gave them favorable recommendations. I was so upset by today's attack that I left the store in tears. I tried to explain and defend myself to no avail. I am not someone who likes confrontations. I feel if I provide pictures and instructions, and have paid for something that isn't right they should fix it. Because I ask for a lot I always tip generously to compensate the groomer for the extra work. I have never once asked for a refund or withheld a tip based on being unhappy with a groom. I have only ever requested that a groomer do a touch up or correction when possible and in the last 15 yrs with 6 different dogs I have only even requested this a handful of times. but apparently this business believes it warrants being told off. I did not instigate this encounter, and I did not come at people in a disrespectful, aggressive or loud way . I am normally a pretty chill and amicable person who gives people the benefit of the doubt and an opportunity to resolve things . I have never experienced anything like this and would never recommend a business that treats it's customers this way.
