The county I work for brought my service truck back to have a new articulating crane with a wireless remote installed. They were told by multiple people on 2 separate occasions it needed a remote. It took 3 days longer than they said it would due to "wiring issues", when we picked up the truck, there was no remote. We were told (my boss and I) that the remote was "plug and play" and that it would cost a little extra but they would order it for us. We were in a hurry to leave due to weather, so we took the truck. When we got back to the shop, I started looking at the crane and found that it had been mounted backwards in the trunk, so in order to move a load from 1 side of the truck to the other, you would have to swing it all the way around the front of the vehicle to do so. I also found that the crane that was installed was all hydraulic, therefore no wiring tied to the vehicle's electrical system. We reused the old hydraulic pump, so unless they changed the hose there was almost no reason for them to open the hood. When we brought the truck back 4 days later, they said that it would cost an additional $11k to install the remote system (?!@#$%) but "only" $7k more if the crane had been ordered with the remote already installed. Now due to the way we have been jerked around, I am going to have to work by myself without a remote in the field changing tires on the county's 6 motorgraders that I maintain. If this review doesn't convince you to take your business elsewhere, I don't know what will, and if that's the case, you deserve what you get.
