Very disappointed with my experience with Got Concrete. We ordered concrete to complete a slab last summer, which ended up being a bad batch from when they were “still figuring out the mix” (the owner Russell’s words) and the slab failed. Russell came out to inspect the slab and we agreed that it needed to be replaced, however we were unable to complete the replacement right away because of the nature of our business and we would only be able to replace it after our season ended in May. May comes so we contact Russell as scheduled to now be greeted with hostility because we “waited so long”. He now only agrees to pay for the tear-out, prep work (grading only, not forming), and the concrete itself, but refused to pay to form, pump, finish and/or cut the replacement for their original slab of bad mix. We had to pay for the replacement concrete to be formed, pumped, finished and cut (Russell finally agreed to pay the finishers after much arguing but didn’t, in the end, though). Russell’s team (his son) came to demo the old concrete and re-grade to prepare for the pour the next day. On the day of the pour, Russell only sends the original amount of concrete that we had ordered the first time, and doesn’t answer the phone when we try to tell him that it is going to be short. When my GM finally gets in touch with Russell he basically tells him that he sent the original concrete amount and that we can “f-ing deal with it”. His team did the tear-out, re-grading, and he didn’t send enough to fill it back in. He initially refused to send any more and was going to leave us significantly short (~20% missing). After a heated argument with Russell when he shows up to the job, tries to fight the property owner, GM, and one of the finishers. After threatening to call the sheriff he settled down and finally agreed to send another truck with the rest of the concrete to complete the slab, and then promptly leaves before paying for the finishing like he had agreed to originally. He also left the pump sitting there with mud in it the whole time this is happening and a cold-joint forming in the slab. As a business owner, I could never imagine treating a customer like this, if I messed up their project I would pay for everything to have it replaced since it was my fault in the first place. Don’t bother going with this company for concrete, go with someone that provides consistent concrete mix and can afford to stand by their product.
