DON'T USE JOHN OR HIS COMPANY -- NASHVILLE LANDSCAPE LIGHT PROS!! John, the owner, prefers not to have contracts and details in writing, I insisted upon having a contract. On September 11, John started the installation of our landscape lighting system. A new transformer was required and our contract specifically stated that he would install a 600 watt transformer. He didn't. He installed a 300 watt transformer (which costs less, runs hot and makes noise). When I asked John about this, he told me it was a "double 300" transformer. That's something no electrical supply house in Nashville has ever heard of, and you can't find on google. The label on the transformer clearly indicates it is a 300 watt transformer, as did the electrician I hired and paid to clean up John's mess. John didn't install all the landscape lighting we contracted for or paid him to do. Not only were several lights never installed, but many ones he did install stopped working after a few days. We also paid for a "smart plug" so the lights could be controlled by an app, but we never received a plug that worked. We paid John for the work per the contract, and don't owe him any money for any labor/lighting. I contacted John for 60 days and he responded that he would finish the job, but he never returned to our home. John failed to clean up behind himself... he left trash and debris from the installation. A Tennessee business license search reveals there is no business license in either his name or the co.
