Do yourself a favor and avoid this CPA. We hired her to do our 2018 tax returns, and she was practically inaccessible. She Never could be reached at the office or on her cell, didn't return phone calls and took a long time to respond to emails. Even though I was a new client, she never once called or emailed me with questions related to the processing of our returns, which should have been a huge red flag. When we got the completed returns there were multiple mistakes and omissions, and since they had already been filed she had to file an amended return. The amended return contained multiple mistakes as well, and she overstated my taxes owed by $25,000, which I only discovered by hiring a reputable accounting firm who found all of her mistakes and processed a second amended return. Based on Ms. Genzler's flawed work I had to take out a cash advance on my credit card to make an initial payment of taxes, and work out a repayment agreement with the IRS for the balance owed. Because of the pandemic, the IRS still hasn't processed the second amended return (done correctly by the other firm) and so I still haven't received a refund for my overpayment of almost $6,000. I have spent much money and time as a result of her shoddy work, and the nightmare still isn't over.
