As the owner of the Myerling, I would Iike people to know the above negative review was written by a disgruntled ex-employee. I assure you we treat our residents with care and respect and want them to live the highest quality of life with dignity. If we feel a resident would benefit from memory care or skilled care, we are sure to let the family know and do what we can to help them find the right fit.
Please stop in to meet us or call before judging us by this review. I am sure you will like what you see and will not be disappointed. We have a welcoming, down to earth, family atmosphere. We are not a memory care facility and do not claim to be. We are an alternative to other high cost facilities.

The previous rant is from a ex disgruntled employee who had problems following the employers rules and instructions and wanted to apply his own bad ideas without the Employers permission. If you want the background on Bowen Quast just give us a call and we can fill you in on his employment with The Myerling, Any business or Employer deserves better!

I really didn’t want to write this review, but I think that it’s important that people read it. I know this place and the family that owns and operates it really well, and I have to say that if you have any other recourse or option at all when it comes to placing your family members in a facility of some kind or another, please utilize it. In an ideal world, elderly parents would be able to live at home with their own children. While I realize that this is not always an option in the modern era, this particular facility should only be considered when family members have no other alternative due to finances or some other issue. When it comes to the Myerling, appearances can be deceiving. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes here that family members will never see or know about. Being as the Myerling Home is licensed as a boarding house and not as an assisted living or nursing home, there is very little state oversight or accountability, and this is a major disservice to both residents and employees alike. The Myerling has operated for many years as a family business, and such you are dealing with a close-knit group of people that work to keep the goings on here covered up and swept under the rug. This applies not only to dealings with the residents but the employees as well. The management here has a history of leading employees into romantic or sexual relationships only to find creative means to dispose of them and cover their own tracks when they no longer feel that
