In 1973, Charles F. Hawkins, started growing plants as a hobby. He officially founded Hawkins Nursery in 1977. We started off doing ground maintenance. From there, we began to propagate our own plant material and started some landscaping. Today, the ownership has been passed on to Charles' son, Anthony Hawkins. From there, we began to propagate our own plant material and started some landscaping. Today, the ownership has been passed on to Charles' son, Anthony Hawkins. Now, we provide services such as landscaping, yard maintenance, and irrigation installation. We are also a wholesale nursery. We have 175 acres of field grown material such as maples, hollies, dogwoods, flowering cherries, and crape myrtles. We have 11 acres of container stock with a wide variety of landscaping shrubs. Some of what we carry in the container is azaleas, hollies, rhododendron, juniper, and mountain laurel.
