I contracted Bonnie Clayton from Studio South in Key Biscayne to make a small repair of a marble floor in my apartment, which was rented out at the time. The job consisted of resetting 3 tiles, which became loose. Bonnie Clayton charged me what I believe was an astronomical amount of money for this job, $342.40, which should have taken no more than just a few minutes of time of a tile setter and a small amount of glue. However, being out of town at that time and having a very few option to find somebody else, I agree to pay the money and gave her 'go ahead' with the job. After a few short weeks I discovered that 3 tiles in question remained loose as they were before the repair. I contacted Ms. Clayton by phone, explained to her that the repair was not performed correctly or most likely not performed at all. Ms. Clayton promised to refund my $342.40. It has been almost two years and the refund check never arrived. I have attempted to contact Ms. Clayton by phone and by certified mail, but she has steadfastly refused to answer me. Ms. Clayton demonstrated to me in a very obvious manner that she has a total lack of integrity. My advice to anyone who is looking for a decorator, but does not want to be 'taken for a ride' is to keep away from Bonnie Clayton and her company Studio South in Key Biscayne.
