Non-refundable deposits are to protect the company in case the customer cancels - this company chose to cancel on the students. They are simply keeping hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars from students (my daughter among them who lost $1900). This is despite the fact that the company required us to purchase travel insurance. Why no offer to refund it as they recover it from airlines, tour providers, hotels, etc? Why no offer to credit the amount to a future tour. I called and they didn't answer, I emailed and they didn't respond, I sent a letter and got a form letter in response offering nothing. I promise to update my review if I ever hear from this company or get anything back. Until then, I can only suggest never doing business with them.

Do not support this business. This program has nothing to do with music education for your student and is only a body shop. Extremely poor back-office support and seems to be run out of someone's home. Communication all by mail, nothing online. Do not trust what you hear with the initial marketing information, this is only about money.

Please research this business very carefully BEFORE signing anything with them. In the midst of a worldwide pandemic, they had total disregard for doing was is right and followed the contract to the letter. Keeping $1900 per person which amounted to millions of dollars claiming they could not get refunds and then we find out that they were in fact getting refunds from travel related vendors they used. Most in this group would have understood them keeping the $700 non refundable which still amounts to over $2M! Do what is right VIL and don’t hide behind the contract and lawyers!

Voyageurs international (VIL) inappropriately kept travelers' money. Our daughter saved up and paid $6345 for a 10-day trip European trip organized by VIL, slated for late June. The company sent a letter dated March 17th informing trip participants its president decided to cancel the trip because of the COVID crisis; VIL would keep $1900 of each travelers pre-paid, good faith trip deposits. The letter claimed VIL paid over $1900 for each travelers' arrangements that it could not recoup. This attempt by voyageurs to withhold 30% of each pre-paid deposit does not match the good faith in which families made advance payments, nor does it match their contract which states the company will only cancel for war, terrorism or any other reason within 10 days of scheduled departure. Instead voyageurs decided to cancel three months before the scheduled trip, as well as before the US State Dept issued a "do not travel" warning specified in the contract, and then helped themselves to $1900 of each traveler's money.

This company canceled a European Music Ambassador Trip because of COVID-19 travel advisory and shorted each participant $1900! There are hundreds of participants all over the US. Also, they are not refunding or giving the participants the shirts and jackets that were already paid for. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
