My nephew attended a boarding school nearby where we live in Lake Mary, FL almost two years ago with a straight F for all of his classes. He is the only boy in our family. Entire our family was frustrated and hopeless during that time. My husband found St. John’s Military School (SJMS) online, which has very good reviews by parents. We thought it might be a hope for our family to turn my nephew around. We took my nephew out of the boarding school on October 7, 2011 and put him in SJMS on October 10, 2011. It has been almost two years since he first went to SJMS. As off last semester, 2012-2013 school year, he has received A and B in all of his class and he made to Honor Roll Student list for the fourth quarter of the last semester! How much different within less than two years – straight F to Honor Roll Student!!! He learned respects us and cleans himself and his room. I just want say, Thank you very much SJMS! You saved my nephew and give my family a hope. I want especially to give my THANKS to MAJ Forde and his assistance Ms. Debby Edgerton. Without both of them, my nephew could not get into SJMS’s door that is our family’s hope start point. Further, I want to give my THANKS to all of SJMC’s military advisors, teachers’ and supporting staff, who has done a such wonderful job and contributed their efforts helping my nephew and turn him around to be a good student, a grownup young man, and a better person. I highly recommend SJMS to anyone who has a troubled son and

We knew that our son still had great potential to succeed in life so we made one of the hardest decisions one could make as a parent. We pulled him out of the public school system where he has established friendships. We cashed in all our savings to send him to St. John’s Military school. We made the decision to send out son to live 3 hours away from home with groups of total strangers. We had heard success stories of how St. John’s Military school has helped boys like our son find themselves but also find the confidence to success. We spoken with the school about their academic but really had no idea what the schooling structure or curriculum would be like. Fast forward to today and what an amazing transformation just four months at St. John’s has made. Our son is passing all classes, the constant anxiety and edginess regarding school and social situations are not present, the fighting about the simple things is no long there, his respect for others has gone up and so has his self confidence. These are just to name a few of the many successes he came home with for the summer. We are so excited about the positive turn around we have decided to send him back to St. John’s for another year.

My son, Dylan went to SJMS from 2006 - 2009, transferring in from the Los Angeles County school district. Dylan was not only behind a semester, it was starting to look like he would have to repeat a whole grade. He would have graduated from high school in 2009. In the fall of 2006, we enrolled Dylan into SJMS, and he was introduced to classrooms of about 12 to 15 students. In LA he was used to 50+ classmates. With the help of Devon Walters, Eric Winters and Ginger Wooten (Principals and advisers), Dylan got back on track and actually learned something in HS, and graduated on time in May 2009. We could not have done without the support of Debby Edgerton, Admissions, Brian Bell and Sgt. Major Nichols, as we lived in CA . All three kept my husband and I informed of our son's progress. Our experience at SJMS was a positive one as it achieved the goals that we had for our son and it gave him many experiences that he would had missed out on. We believe our money well spent at SJMS .
