Vandalia Bus Lines acquired its name from a small south central Illinois town where it began in 1932. With an initial fleet of five buses, it provided service between several Illinois towns and St. Louis, Missouri. In 1975, Mr. Leon Streif purchased Vandalia Bus Lines, Inc. and a whole new era began and still exists. Leon purchased V-K Bus Lines, Inc., of St. Louis, Illinois Metro East Transportation Company of Millstadt, Travel Express of Godfrey, Belleville-St. Louis Coach and St. Louis Gray
