I thought Susan did a decent job with my family law case... that is until when in court my ex wife and her attorney clearly purgered themselves in front of the judge by directly contradicting what was stated under oath during discovery. I wanted Ms. Gallagher to point this out to the judge, but she did not want to listen to me. After the hearing, she still could have brought it up but I was told that she did not want to risk annoying the judge because she may have to be in front of her again some time. The result, an additional 8 months and $14000 to Ms. Gallagher. Was it a guarantee that the case would have been thrown out? No. Was there a good chance? Yes, the judge was already frustrated with the other party and her attorneNow, did she know this neglect to have the whole thing thrown out due to the purgery and doubt it put on the rest of the claim would actually pad her pockets to such a degree? I like to think not, but her refusal to negotiate any compromise in the billing makes me wonder. However, she is more than willing to let me make payments at $150 a month and 8% interest. If I miss a payment, she adds the interest to the amount, and if I make one early she doesn't knock down the principal accordingly. So, her accounting and understanding of interest is not accurate, as well as it is confusing and I've asked her to clarify and she doesn't. (even before my case was over). So, is she competent? Yes I'd have to say so, but she also knows how to enhance her profits
