Mr. Gimple was recently the PRE for my relocation case. I won, despite his extremely biased and incompetent report, so this isn't sour grapes. I am writing this because I am very concerned that he is allowed to continue in this profession and hope to warn others from hiring him in the future. FIrst of all, Mr. Gimple did not interview my fiance whom my 12 year old daughter and I were planning to live with. He also did not interview my ex-husbands ex-girlfriend whom my ex-husband had just had a domestic violence incident with. My ex had his girlfriend arrested and claimed she assaulted him although they both had injuries. Mr. Gimple completely bought my exes story and proclaimed the woman an "unreliable witness" and therefore wouldn't interview her. The case went to court and the ex-girlfriend was found to have acted in self-defense and was found innocent. I told Mr. Gimple over and over that I was worried about my exes anger, and now, physical violence, and he completely dismissed my concerns. I also brought up concerns about my exes excessive drinking. I showed Mr. Gimple proof of my exes alcohol purchases - on average around $500/month - from his bank statements. Mr. Gimple completely dismissed me and did no further investigation. In my individual meeting with him, he belittled and dismissed me. He argued every concern I raised, and I backed down because he was the "professional" with my daughters well-being in his hands. My daughter told Mr. Gimple that she wanted to move and live with me and he disregarded her wishes. He refused to give my attorney his hand-written notes, which he is legally required to do. In court, he evaded the questions from my attorney and claimed to "not remember" me asking him to request a drug and alcohol test. He also claimed in court that he was not aware that my ex and I originally went to marriage counseling for his anger issues, when we had both confirmed that in our joint interview. He also claimed in court that our marriage counselor had no concerns about him as a parent, which I know from speaking with her afterward was simply not true. She had expressed concerns about his anger and manipulation. There is more, but I will leave it at that. As another reviewer aptly observed, he is extremely father-biased, so mother's beware. Mr. Gimple, I sincerely hope you engage in some self-reflection and seek some counseling of your own. You caused a tremendous amount of suffering for this little girl who was counting on you to listen to her and advocate for her. You should be ashamed.
