To whom it may concern: My name is Wendell Donaldson and I am retired from Hoosier Tree Service as of 2003 due to a severe accident. I believe in Jeff Hayes so strongly, that I have been the one helping him with pages such as YP, Angie's List, Facebook, etc. We have now started up a Facebook acct with pictures and videos to show the real deal about Smoke Valley Tree Service. There is enough tree work out there for everyone if they would spend more time working and less time bashing other tree companies. I stand behind Jeff Hayes and his company 100%. I'd be willing to put my reputation on the line for him and his crew.

Do not hire! Larry from Smoke Valley is dishonest! He does not do the work promised and tries to charge additional money for services that were already agreed upon but not completed. My neighbors talked him down 75% from the originally quoted price. He took a bit off the price he originally quoted me but only if I would pay him cash in $100 bills...he asked the same thing from my neighbors. He said they included stump removal in what I paid them upfront, but now refuses to complete the work (this after numerous calls and promises over a month and a half to send the crew back out). After completing about one quarter of the work the first day he said they had earned an advance and asked for $500. He told me and my neighbors he would give us a receipt after completing the work but we never received one (Again, we both have called over the past month and a half and were promised they would send it but we have never received our receipts). While they were working, I had to constantly stay on top of them to complete the agreed upon work (had to go back and point out missed work around the property several times). They always have an excuse for why the work was not completed as discussed...saws would be damaged if the trees were cut down too low, they could not get to an area because of lack of equipment. There was brush around a dead tree they cut down so they left the wood piled inside...they were supposed to cut the brush out - this was another time when Larry said we did not tal
