We provide dark and lit fiber optic network, internet and collocation services to business' in Pittsburgh and 7 surrounding counties. DQE Communications provides: - Dark Fiber - Metro Ethernet - Internet - Collocation We are the premiere fiber provider in Pittsburgh and 7 surrounding counties including: Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Washington, Westmoreland, Armstrong and Indiana County. We are a sister company of Duquesne Light and are the largest locally owned fiber provider. We provide services to some of the largest corporations and work with carriers, wireless, enterprise, healthcare, schools/universities, large and medium business'. We own, operate, maintain and build all of our own fiber. Fiber is the future! Our backbone is built in rings unlike traditional copper which allows for traffic to reroute in the event of a cut for increased reliability. Fiber goes from 10 Mbps to 1 Gbps and is scalable.
