DeepFocus Productions Inc. handles production and distribution for Arthur Dong, the award-winning filmmaker, author, and curator. DeepFocus Productions, Inc. was established in 1982 by filmmaker Arthur Dong to drive the distribution of his Oscar© nominated film "Sewing Woman." It has since expanded to develop, produce and distribute the entire spectrum of his work, including films, publications, and exhibitions. The company's pioneering marketing and social impact strategies, starting from handling 16mm film prints and branching out to print, video, digital, web and cyber-based formats, has been chronicled in articles such as the Council on Foundations' "Documentary in Action," and in the books "Independent Film Distribution" and "The AIVF Film and Video Self-Distribution Toolkit." Funding for film productions has been received by the Ford Foundation, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Endowment for the Arts, Sundance, MacArthur Foundation, ITVS, Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Guggenhiem and Rockefeller Fellowships, Soros Open Society Institute, among many others.
