Stopping a Leaking Steeple Our church, an existing 30 year old building when we moved in, had water damage on the ceiling. An engineering firm recommended the steeple be removed to fix the roof & replace the steeple at a cost of $50,000. We searched for alternatives within our budget. We feel that we were led to Tony Stratton & Inspired Heights, by Divine Guidance. Tony traveled to VA, arriving on Fri morning with his crew of 2 men. He assessed the situation & presented a solution that did not require removal of the steeple. The roof leak was the result of installation of a new roof several years ago. They had removed shingles from under the steeple edges & caulked new shingles to the outside edges of the steeple. This resulted in water forming inside the steeple then draining to the sanctuary ceiling through the space left around the edges inside the steeple where they pulled the old shingles out. Tony & his crew sealed all corners, recaulked seams, made & installed a metal flashing drainage system to properly drain water to the roof outside the steeple & installed counter flashing & PVC base boards. They tested for leaks with water hoses & repainted the steeple. The job was completed on Mon at a cost of about 20% of the 1st company’s proposal. Our steeple was saved & we met a man truly inspired to serve God & Christ through his work. We were pleased to welcome Tony & his crew to our church service on Sunday. I highly recommend Inspired Heights to any church or cathedral. Having watched their YouTube presentations & dealt personally with Tony, I am convinced that he can handle large and small jobs with expertise gained from training & years of experience.
