NorthWest Auto was established in the spring of 1971 by Don Fiala. The original structure covered 2,000 square feet and had four service bays. In 1972 a fifth bay was added with a half pit for doing front-end work. In 1975 Don decided it was time to go fishing. Literally. He sold the shop to Skip Deedon, purchased a large fishing boat and went into the charter fishing business. Skip has owned and operated NorthWest Auto & Tire since then.
