Here my the scenario: My A/C is not working in the middle of summer I locate a A/C contractor who is Raytech Mechincal in Marietta GA They inspect my unit and recommend filling my A/C with Freon They charge me a ridiculous amount of $375 The A/C unit stops working within hours I call them back they try and upsell me. Send out a shaggy guys to re-inspect my unit Shaggy guy can who can barely walk. Re-inspect my unit with a Freon detector says I have a leak in my coil. I ask why he didn’t do that the first time instead of charging me $375. He raises is voice and gets somewhat intimating saying I must purchase a $3800 unit I ask for a partial refund and he get more agitated and says he can reduce the price slightly for the unit but can’t give any refund. Don’t get caught in this price trap. This is a classic contractor tactic to get you ‘cost committed’ to them.
