Carpenter John bid a remodel of my home which included an 8 month completion time. After over a year and a half, not only did we over pay him by $47,000.00 because of all kinds of ridiculous "extras" (like $75.00 for the 1/2 life of a saw blade and thousands to run the plumbing into the center of the home where he was adding a toilet and sink - as if they were just going to placed there without plumbing???) but he never finished the first permit work, began the 2nd ran out of money, dumped a trailer of trash on front lawn and he had his crew walk off of the job. With the urging of the architect that recommended him to us, John Parker was not willing to try to work out any viable solutions. John never lifted a hand to help work , no weekends and he hired an unlicensed roofer whose work so poor, several repairs and still leaking; John had his carpenter lay a portion of the roof. Currently John wants an additional $50,000.00 (total over bid = 94,000.00) to complete the job. Buyer beware
