Cemeteries in Birmingham AL Forest Hill Cemetery was established in 1883 and is located in Birmingham, AL. We are just around the corner from Birmingham International Airport. We are located in a historical part of Birmingham with rolling hills and a creek that flows through the gardens with views of downtown Birmingham We have extremely old graves dating back to 1802, with figures such as a Revolutionary War Soldier W. N. Pullen and his wife, along with the former governor of Alabama, Rufus W. Cobb. We have buried here some revolutionary war veterans, a prisoner from the Bay of Pigs, a former Mayor of Birmingham and a former governor of Alabama. We also have many prominent citizens of Birmingham and some founding fathers of Birmingham buried here.
