While everyone there is generally positive and friendly, misunderstandings happen. I would encourage the staff to be more patient, kind, and understanding of those who are not familiar with the protocol, rules, and regulations in regards to how pharmacy operates. From a customer's perspective, it is very confusing when the 'routine' is broken. This "broken routine" can include experiences such as filling half of a prescription, waiting until a later date to fill a prescription, prior authorization, insurance difficulties, etc.
We all have our bad days, but we should try to keep the general public separated from any personal issues we may be experiencing. I would promote the idea that the staff should assume that others are coming from a place of curiosity and not negativity. We are all human at the end of the day, so misunderstandings are bound to happen.
Despite this, I do plan to continue working with the pharmacy because they have been a favorite of mine for years. The convenience of being attached to the clinic, their hours, and the experience with them throughout the years overall is more than enough to excuse this one unusual day. I hope that by discussing this issue, we can help prevent future misunderstandings between the pharmacy professionals and the common customer.
