I would highly recommend this dance studio. This studio takes the whole child into consideration, is inclusive, child-centered, safe and family oriented. I have known the Catenacci dance family for over 7 years and I know that your young dancer will grow, learn, and feel loved and cared for here. I appreciate that costumes, dance styles and performances are age-appropriate. With safety in mind, two or more adults, plus demonstrators are always with children and the studio is very open-door. This dance studio performs in public at their recital each Spring, Frankenfest in Oct. in nearby Franklinton, at The Tar River Festival in Louisburg, in area Nursing homes, etc. Some of the older students perform on their own for local venues. Several teachers grew up attending Catenacci Dance, went on to get teacher certification from Dance Masters in Florida, and are now teaching at Catenacci Dance Studio. All teachers are certified teachers, which makes me feel confident that dancers are being trained the correct and safe way- always under the instruction and guidance of Mrs. Catenacci. They teach the classical form of ballet, which shows when their dancers go for training under Russian Ballet instructors! They offer Ballet (and Pointe), Jazz, Acrobatics, Tap, and a combo class for the very youngest ones. There is also a summer intensive camp, as well as a trip to Florida Dance Masters Convention in Nov. Sometimes special classes with guest teachers are offered.
