Southern cylinder head is the go to machine shop in Huntsville. I have only had great results from them. I bring all my Ls blocks and heads to them. The price is right for the service they deliver. If you want great work for a fair price this is the shop. Everyone is correct when they say the turnaround is unbelievable. 1 to 2 days every time i have brought something to them.

I've used Southern Cylinder Head for over 20 years with great results. They do all my machine work for my Race engines. They consistently have up to date equipment and do great work. The turnaround is unbelievable. they usually have my heads and block ready in 1 to 2 days. Its nice to have a machine shop like them in Huntsville.

i am a chrysler master tech of 18 years so dont tell me about shade trees i had some heads serviced at this company and they shaved the heads after i asked them not to which made the heads to thin because chrysler heads for 2.4 engines can NOT be shaved at ALL. then i put the heads on and the car missed i called them and they came out and said it wasnt the head it was something else. after hours or work and tryi9ng to figure out the problem i decided it had to bew the head so i took it off and sent it to a different shop. southern cylinder had sunk the valve seat to deep. But sch never takes the blame for nothing it cant be their shotty work. pointis dont ever take your heads to sch they terrible at head work and the customers is always wrong and there always right. every shop i talk to at one time has used them now no one will use them. take it for what its worth but you will learn just like everybody else did. its never their fault
