I have been a patient/client of Island City Eyecare for the last 12 years. I have never had an issue with anything until this last visit. I have Human Compbenefits insurance, I just got of the phone with them after I received my new cards for the upcoming year. I was charged, and I let it happen without thinking, $461.70 for a basic frame with progressive lenses. The frames were 0. The options were over $400. Insurance agent "Why did you get the tier 4 premium options on a basic frame?". I was never given an option. I took his word for it. I will NEVER do that again. The tier 1 option was included. He charged $189 for tier 4. Anti Reflective tier 1 $60 I was charged $135 for tier 3. No options given. The Dr is always complete caring and comprehensive. Watch out for the crook that sells you frames!!
