I had to get the police involved, my insurance company was charged for multiple items that were not replaced on my truck and the paint is bubbling. I have PD report numbers if needed Disadvantages I had to file 2 police reports with Eloy PD and a civil standby with the SGT down there for a PREARRANGED meeting to get my vehicle. All money in hand in the form he asked for (cashiers check for my deductible and check from my insurance company) Drove down from PHX and stood outside his property WEDS the 14th, where he was hiding inside (gate locked from the inside of the chain link fence with his vehicle outside) while the SGT stood outside calling him. Again this was a prearranged meeting from the night before. I was blocked from his cell and when I called the shop he answered and when he heard it was me put the connected phone on the counter and walked away - for an hour an 8 minutes before I gave up! First officer I spoke with on this issue Monday the 12th told me that he has heard of shops evading vehicle owners to keep them and eventually file for abandoned vehicle title. well Thursday the 18th Rusty unblocked me for a minute to send me a text basically lining out the ransom plan for my truck! almost to the exact amount of days that the officer had advised me of on Monday. Comment PHX PD told me that had the civil standby call been put in to them, this would have been THEFT BY FRAUD and that Eloy PD handled this like it was Mayberry. below attachments are the ransom I got from the shop owner Thursday only after I stood outside his property for 4 hours with 1 to 3 PD units. During which time I spoke to his very nice lot partner thru the gate, Javier. He told me Rusty was (as we were talking thru the fence) inside the shop at that time and that he always locks himself in. USE THE RECOMMENDED SHOP FROM YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY.
