Budd was originally on-air talent then migrated into sales. Sue from the sales & management side. Those were the days when sales people in small and medium market radio actually wrote and produced their own commercials. We learned that to sell the clients product or event, the commercial had to be good. And in order to be good - it had to stop people in their tracks and make them listen. About that time, Budd had a brainstorm and began producing Message On Hold for his radio customers. We think - he thought of it first. We took the plunge, started TopHat and began to use the writing and production style we learned from our radio days for our conversational, sometimes outrageous Message On Hold & commercial productions. It must have worked. We're s
