If you rent from Darlene, at All Brevard Property Management, part of Century 21 Indian River Realty, don't expect broken windows and door locks, plumbing leaks, or anything else to be fixed, no matter how many times you request it and even though not repairing them is a violation of Florida statutes. If she manages your property, do expect vacant units and unhappy tenants. She never tried to be helpful from Day 1, and was rude and abusive to me the next full year. When I moved out, after paying rent on time each month and being a considerate tenant, she vindictively withheld part of my security deposit for bogus reasons (I have the pictures to prove it), also a violation of law, and would not return any of my deposit until the sheriff made her. After posting on Facebook, I got LOTS of replies detailing how she had done the same thing to them! BTW, her broker, Perry Coleman, is the same. When I called asking to speak with him, the agent who answered said, "Oh, s**t, not again!" and then refused to give me his name. NOT a class act brokerage. Realtors like that help give them all a bad name.
