Our mission at Tender Hearts is "to make sure every child and family feels they are our top priority...treating each as if they were our own family." Established in 1995. Tender Hearts Dayschool, Inc. is a privately held day care for children ages 12 weeks to 12 years old. Strategically located Tender Hearts has been licensed and operating in the same location for 26 years serving the Arlington, Lakewood and Marysville communities. Located at 3521 - 150th Pl. NE, just off of Smokey Point Blvd., and only slightly a mile south from I-5, exit 206 (172nd St NE), Tender Hearts is easily and conveniently accessible for schools, shopping, work centers, and mass transit. Jerri Ann Brummel has been the only owner / operator of Tender Hearts Dayschool since it's inception in 1995. Matter of fact, she was the general contractor who built the school building. A graduate of Arlington High school in 1982, she started on the girls varsity basketball team which won the last state title in Arlington. Jerri Ann also received a bachelors Degree in Business Administration from St. Martin's University in 1987, later earning her teachers certificate from City University in 1990. Her student teaching was done at the highly acclaimed Jenny Reed Elementary in Tacoma. Before starting her own day school, Jerri Ann spent three years teaching at one of the largest day schools in the state, Country Village Dayschool at Mercer Island. Country Village Dayschool enrollment was well over 150 students. Jerri Ann has been married to her husband, Bud, for nearly 36 years and has two sons, Bo, 28 and Bradey, 26 .
