HIX® Corporation was started as HIX Automation in 1963, in a Pittsburg Kansas gas station by the Hix brothers, making dryers for the graphics industry. They soon expanded into printers and heat presses. HIX Automation was purchased in 1989, when HIX Automation was simply changed to HIX Corporation.
