The wastewater drain pipe outside my basement door plugged up over the weekend. This caused the water to back up into my basement and flood it to 6". After an unsuccessful attempt at snaking the pipe myself, I called Mark of Western Mass. Rooter. I first tried the main business number, but the answering machine message directed me to his cell phone. So I called the cell phone, which went straight to voicemail. I left a message Tuesday afternoon and Mark called me back midday Wednesday. He told me he certainly could help. He promised to stop by Friday morning. Friday morning came and went, followed by Friday afternoon. That evening I called Mark again. He said he was stuck at a job and would have reschedule for Saturday morning. Now Saturday morning came and went, as did the afternoon. That evening, I tried several times to reach Mark on his cell phone, with no luck. I finally left a message saying that my basement had been flooded for nearly a week and really needed his help. I told him that I would be home all day on Sunday and would appreciate a call back to let me know he would be coming. As you may have predicted by now, Sunday came and went with no response from Mark. I write this review on the following Tuesday and still haven't heard so much as a peep from Mark. In a flood situation, when time is of the essence to prevent catastrophic water and mold damage, I'd recommend seeking out a trustworthy professional. Steer clear of this clown.
