Hello! My name is Kathy Ellis and I was the Manager at this location in the 80's. I was extremely proud to work with JRN and I enjoyed knowing and working with some of the best employers I have ever worked with as well as employees. So many good memories were made in that little restaurant especially with the employees. I watched some of the co-workers grow up, marry, and start families. I probably spent more time with these people than I did with my own family. I don't know how many folks connected to the Company are still there but I have thought about them so often over the years. Mr. John R., David, Jim Pitchford ( Mr. P. to me), Mr. Martin, all the staff at the office. I had the pleasure of meeting so many of the Columbia, and surrounding area residents. We had so many returning customers that I was able to call them by name. JRN employees were my second family and I missed them so very much when my husband, which was the Army Recruiter, was assigned to Charlotte, N.C. I also happened to work for the company in Concord, N.C.. Different family, but I could never become as attached as I did to the clan in Columbia. For all the wonderful people that touched my life in the Columbia KFC I wish I knew where you are hanging your hat now. I will forever remember you with sincere fondness.
