In response to Robert J........the REST of the story. He did not purchase the furnace from us. The parts we installed were covered under warranty, but it pays no labor. He also did not purchase the extended warranty which would have covered some if not all of the labor. We made 2 trips to his house which according to map quest is 9.9 miles away. The total amount of time we billed him for is 3.25 hrs. To go 9.9 miles takes at least 15 minutes(each way)so for 2 trips that's one hour. He claims we were there for 45 minutes one time and one hour and 45 minutes the other time. That adds up to 3.5 hrs and that doesn't include time to go get the parts, phone calls made to Coleman and our supplier and all the related paperwork that goes with it. 3.5 hrs @ 50.00 = $175.00. we only charged him $162.50. The rest of his bill, $98.78 was the next day air freight charge that he pre-approved! He asked us to "go to bat for him" against Coleman and our supplier, but we cannot control what Coleman does, plus, since we were not involved in the purchase or installation of his unit, we are under no obligation to cover any warranty issues through our company either. Had we sold him the unit and installed it, we may have even taken care of the cost in house, but he received his savings when he bought it and installed it himself. We have been more than cooperative with him and as you can see, he has in no way been overcharged.

NOT A RECOMENDATION, AVOID. Harold Shuck would not stand up for me as a customer. I had a recalled part in my furnace and I ended up paying $260.00 to have it replaced under recall. I troubleshot, diagnosed the problem, and found hte recall on line myself and was told by York that a dealer must do the recall replacement. So much for the recall, I could have bought the part online and installed it myself and saved $200.00. York and Harold Shuck Inc have both lost my business.
