I studied drumming and percussion with Jim and it was an awesome experience. Circumstances caused me to stop taking lessons with Jim but if I were to return to my studies, he would be my first choice. He takes drum lessons further than any teacher I've studied with or heard of. He incorporates teaching techniques that other drum teachers don't touch, such as things you might only get in a high school band class. These experiences foster and nurture creativity. As an adult student, these experiences were invaluable to me. He also teaches other percussion instruments like marimba, vibes, and hand drums. Again, that is hard to find outside of a high school band experience. Jim has the perfect temperament of a great teacher, patience being one of his attributes. Awesome instructor, can't say enough good things about him!
