I have had a difficult journey following a snowboarding fall. I have been in physical therapy 5 different times and undergone 7 surgeries. After my second session I felt disappointed in the treatment I received and attempted to talk to Kumar, the owner, about this. He took offense to my questioning, labeled me as being non-cooperative and as difficult. Then told me to leave. As the patient Bill of Rights states, as a patient, I have the right to question the treatment planned for me. Kumar said I had no right to question his treatment plan. My problems with my personal treatment plan are that there was no warm up or ice-ing after treatment, and there was no hands-on treatment. Also, the exercises given to me were simple-too simple.Although the exercises were simple, I was not supervised. Kumar gave me an exercise and left the room until he thought I was done. I have shoulder and neck problems, my treatment plan did not address my neck at all. I personally did not feel that this was the right fit for me. Especially when the therapist/owner does not like a patient questioning a treatment plan. I was treated disrespectfully.
