Obermeier Hardware started out as a Western Auto store in 1959 that mainly sold auto parts and appliances. In 1974 the business was moved from Main Street to its current location for expansion. In 1976 Obermeier joined a hardware co-op to meet the needs of the community. From 1974 to current the business has gone through two expansions and multiple remodels. In 1996 the auto repair division was closed and a full division of rental was incorporated into the business. In 2004 we signed on to be a full sales and service STIHL dealership. In 2005 Obermeier joined Do-It Best Corp based in Fort Wayne
