No, I would not redommend Dr. James Redington. This doctor has very poor communication skills and did not even introduce himself to me when my mother was in the hospital. I introduced myself to him hoping he would then follow suit. He did not. I asked him if he was a doctor (he was wearing a black suit, so I thought he may have been a clergy member), and he said, "Yes, I'm the kiddy doctor." I took that to mean kidney doctor. (He did not say nephrologist. I have two master's degrees and I'm over 40, so he did not need to talk down to me.) When I tried asking questions about my mother's condition, he was very evasive and acted like he wanted to get out of the room right away. We deserve answers about our loved one, so I thought his behavior was very rude. He did not say, "I have to see another patient, if you can wait a few minutes, I'll come back and answer your questions." He did not volunteer to come back at all to address any questions or issues. I would not recommend this doctor based on his sub-par communication skills. My 5-year-old with Asperger's Syndrome has better communication skills than this doctor.
