I would like everyone to know that this company is NOT representative of what hospice should be like. They are usually very helpful, kind, and have supportive staff that can help a family ease their family into the end of life. This company was not helpful at all. They did not ask what the family needed or anything and when the family expressed needs it took several hours to days to get them filled. My nephew had to suck out secretions from his own father s mouth with his mouth using pieces of oxygen tubing that he cut up to keep him from drowning on his own secretions. I realize he was in the dying process, but this should never have to happen especially after suction had been requested. The nurse showed no empathy at all, no respect either. When she came out after he died and she was going to take out his catheter instead of requesting the family step out or anything she just took the covers away and left him exposed for an extended amount of time even with the grandkids in the room. Not very professional I might add. Then his son had to call the funeral home and the kids had to take him to the hearse. This is definitely NOT what the experience should be. They didn t even tell them what to do when he died so they called EMS. His nurse s name was Marti Bledsoe. If you have any questions or concerns about this review you are welcome to call me.
