The mission of Genesee County Churches United (GCCU) is to study the spiritual needs of the County in order to coordinate a program of united service to those in need, bringing the Body of Christ together with the primary objective of making disciples for Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Currently GCCU supports the Genesee County Jail Ministry. Three jail chaplains, in addition to local pastors and Gideons, share the gospel with inmates at the Genesee County Jail by providing weekly worship services and Bible Studies. Bibles and New Testaments are provided in English, Spanish, and other translations as needed, provided by funds donated to GCCU by member churches and individuals. GCCU is currently looking to add cooperative ministries needed in Genesee County.
