At Beller Logging & Excavating, we use an environment-friendly, cut-to-length system. Rather than skidding, a forwarder is used to carry the logs out of the woods and prevent damage to standing trees. Storm damaged or uprooted trees can be harvested as you wish. We keep stump height as low as possible. All of our work is done in accord with sound forest management principles, and existing woods roads maintained to their original condition.
You determine which trees will be harvested and/or set a minimum stump diameter. If you need assistance we can advise you. Just tell us what you have in mind. Would you like to create a forest to attract dear for hunting, are you interested in clearing the land for development, looking to create a healthy forest for the future, or do you want all the value you can get from the timber you have? We would be happy to visit your property and provide an estimate and offer advice.
Full coverage of insurance and liability is assured. Reliable references will be provided upon request. We have worked for NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation, US Dept. of the Army at Ft. Drum, and Jefferson County Soil & Water CD.
