Mercury-free practice does not use amalgam filling material. ~80% of root canal therapy performed in-office utilizing rubber dams, nickel-titianium rotary instrumentation augmented w/ piezo ultrasonic flushing, obturation accomplished w/ continuous wave condensation technique using gutta percha as filling material.
