Dr. Rakesh Sood is certified by both the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Sleep Medicine.
As a psychiatrist, Dr. Sood provides comprehensive behavioral health services to the residents of southern Virginia. In his role as Medical Director of the accredited Sleep Disorders Center at Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center, Dr. Sood leads the sleep center team in the diagnostic testing for and treatment of sleep disorders in both children and adults – all in partnership with the patient’s primary care provider.
