I am thankful for the company in Parsons, WV for it is now the only manufactoring job to be found in this community; and I pray that it continue to exist there.
We have been missionaries to Bosnia and Herzgovina for 16 years and we work mostly in a small village called Drvar. It was the place of Tito's hiding during World War II.
Recently, a wood company, Finfest, owner closed up shop and left these employees with pay for six weeks at the time we were there and I don't know how much more since that time.
We have been praying about this situation since we left and as I awoke this morning, I was thinking: wouldn't it be great if a charcoal plant was started there is this town of mostly Serbian people who are hard working and proud people. I know if you have any knowledge of the Serbian people, you may think they are cruel people as we did but after working there and being told their history (which all the children can tell without any hesitating, I know why this hatred exist. The war there is not unlike most wars because of political reasons.
My first trip there right after the war, I was amazed to see Kingford Charcoal in one of the very small stores.
I am only being obedient and have done what I feel God spoke to my heart this morning.
