In 1996, husband and wife team Dr. Richard Mathes and Dr. Catherine Homrig started Pumpkin Hill Veterinary Clinic in a small building near their home. They wanted to build a veterinary practice that was comfortable for patients and where pet caretakers would be partners in making decisions for their companions or livestock.
